  • 【导语】身在异乡为异客，总要做些事情来缓解乡愁。有三个在珠海教书的外国人，就找到了在他们的最爱——搞了个乐队，起个名字叫四格（four corner）。
    【正 文】（一段欣赏）乐队成员美国人江浩文（John）和英国人蔡睿（Darrel），在珠海生活了五年四面八方，而英国小伙龙哈里（Harry）来珠海一年 才多一点，他们的职业都是在珠海当老师。至于乐队的名称很有意思，大家斟酌了好久，认为音乐无国界，的人都可以听到，听懂，所以就取名四阁。乐队成立刚一 年，每周就必须有一天凑在一起反复练习。三人坚持不懈，现在已经改编了20首曲目。
    Title: Three Foreigners and their ‘Four Corner’ Band
    Intro: For a stranger in a foreign land, there must be something to do to ease the homesickness. There are three foreign teachers in Zhuhai who have found their favorite way, starting a music band with the name ‘Four Corner’.
    Text: John and Darrel, American and British, have lived in Zhuhai for five years. Harry, the third member of the band, has been living in Zhuhai for little over a year. The three are all teachers here. When it comes to the name of their band, it was another interesting story to tell. They all hold the idea that music has no boundaries, and people from far and wide should be able to receive and understand their musical language, so the band was named ‘Four Corner’. This year is only the first year for the band; therefore they rehearse hard every week. The three music lovers have jointly adapted twenty songs.

    【正文】在过去的一年里，这个三人组合已经多次公开演出，并在一些酒吧里驻场表演。小小的成就，更加激发了他们的激情和梦想，他们很想找一些传统的中国歌曲，将它爵士化。
    Text: The band has delivered several public performances in the past year, including many on-site shows in the bars. These achievements have greatly inspired them with passion and dreams. For the next step, they will try to adapt some traditional Chinese songs to jazz music style.
