Four Corners is interested primarily in reproducing classic jazz intermingled with a bit of blues. To give an idea of what form of music you can expect to hear, they are exploring songs written or performed by artists such as Acker Bilk, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Henry Mancini, Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, Lee Morgan, Oliver Nelson, Charlie Parker, and Elvis Presley.
Currently, the band arranges music for Bb tenor saxophone, keyboard, acoustic bass guitar, and percussion. Expanding from a quartet to larger ensemble arrangements with instruments such as Bb trumpet, flute, Bb clarinet, and vocals are currently underway. Inquiries about joining the project are welcome. Musicians should be able to contribute in the arrangement process as well as an instrument.
